Notable Annual Events
Pigeon Forge church trip last weekend in February.
Each year we travel to Pigeon Forge for a church get away. There is a short devotional on Friday night and Saturday morning and full church services on Sunday morning. The rest of the time is free time. Lodging is based on group rates.
Decoration 1st Saturday in May
This is the only fundraiser for cemetery upkeep. Chicken dressing dinner plates are sold beginning at 11:00 am. Grave spaces are available for sale also. Trustees are on hand to answer any questions you have.
All Day Singing 4th Sunday in June
The choir director books the singers for this event. Please check our events page for details closer to June.
Ice Cream Supper 2nd Sunday in July.
After the evening service, everyone brings there favorite flavor of homemade or store bought ice cream and we have fun and fellowship.
Watermelon Cutting 2nd Sunday in August
Much like the ice cream supper, after the evening service we bring watermelon and have fun and fellowship.
Church Picnic 2nd Sunday in September
This is a community event. Everyone is welcome. We enjoy great food, games such as volleyball, horseshoes, and corn hole, and just have a good time fellowshipping with friends.
Luminaries on Sunday night before Christmas (unless stormy then will be held on New Year’s Eve.)
Candles are placed on every grave in our cemetery to honor the lives of our loved ones. It is indeed a sight to behold. The Luminaries are lite at dusk and burn all night. A special service is held immediately following the lighting of the Luminaires.
Youth Camp 2nd week in June
CMC Youth Camp is located in Spring Garden, AL
VBS 3rd week in July
For ages 1-100. Adult Classes taught by Pastor, Bruce Jenkins each night. Supper is served at 5:00pm and VBS begins at 6:00 pm
Winter Blast is held in Gatlinburg each year between Christmas and New Years.
